Glen’s House, Favignana
Favignana is almost untouched by the massive tourism, for this reason the island doesn’t have much offer when it comes to accommodation. After searching and searching I found probably the most beautiful house in the island – Glen’s House – Located on the top of the hill near the fort, this luxury villa is surrounded by nature and offers incredible panoramic views to the entire island of Favignana. The house The property was renovated with care and attention to details, using splendid ceramics and antiques.
The house has two bedrooms, a double room with a large bathroom with open shower and another room with a french bed. There’s also a secondary bathroom attached. The kitchen is large enough to make meals, it is fully equipped and has a window with such a beautiful view that I could spend all day washing the dishes. Upstairs the dining room and the living room (also with a sofa bed) both with access to balcony with panoramic sea views. The decoration is very clean, light-colored, very Mediterranean style, beautiful and super comfortable.
The house also has a large garden with deck chairs, barbecue, table and stone benches to have delicious meals and a huge balcony with 360º degree views where you can have a drink and enjoy the island and the coast of Sicily from the natural reserve of Stagnone to Mozia island and to San Vito Lo Capo. Another great thing is that pets are allowed, mine would have loved that garden. The house also have private car parking, and free WifI in all propriety.
Along the house it came a friend, Davide, from the moment I contacted him till the last “Ciao” he was tireless. He received us with open arms and it was him who showed the best that Favignana has to offer. More than showing us the island, he showed us the lifestyle and philosophy of the Favignanos, took us boating and introduced us basically half of the island’s people … ehehe. To you, Davide, thank you for those amazing days!
