Patagonia Camp

Patagonia Camp

Patagonia Camp is the most luxurious hotel in Torres del Paine. Located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Toro and overlooking the park’s mountains. It is only 15km from the Torres del Paine National Park and 74km from the city of Puerto Natales.

The Patagonia Camp promises to be the perfect and isolated refuge for those who are searching for relaxation in contact with nature in its splendor. Concerned about the planet, the has been committed since the beginning to respect the environment. The impact of its construction was minimized to the maximum through a harmonious architecture with the forest. The entire hotel was built over a wooden structure to protect the fauna and flore. The hotel has 18 independent tents in Mongolian style with unobstructed views to awake the senses of the guests. Inside the huts, whose roof is made of glass, you can hear the noises of rain, wind and even the birds that live there. With central heating, the rooms are decorated in wood and cotton, the design was thought very simply with comfort in mind. The bed is large and has a huge window that provides incredible views for the lake. Whoever looks at the bathroom does not even think it’s in a tent, it has all the amenities including a bathtub. My room was one of the main suites and had a sitting room with couches for where I spent my afternoon reading. Outside of the room you will find a balcony and a jacuzzi, yes a jacuzzi in the middle of the forest!

The common parts of the hotel are the reception, a super comfortable living room with lots of books and Wi-fi, an outside support room with fireplace where you can relax and where briefings are given for the tours. The restaurant serves the best Chilean food with a gourmet touch accompanied with the most delicious wines of the region. There is also a bar and lounge to enjoy the sunset with a delicious cocktail.

The Patagonia Camp is a base for those who want to explore the park, with various tours organized by the hotel, guided by experienced guides and included in the packages. There are walks for everyone, even if the you are not in the best shape… From the French Valley to kayaking on the lake. The hotel has a small “beach” right next to it, the water is cold (you are in Patagonia, note in Maldives 🙂 but great for invigorating energies!

For those who don’t want to do big walks, the hotel is near to a waterfall that can be visited, it is only 30 minutes through the middle of the forest where the silence and the green of nature are kings.

Patagonia Camp is the ideal hotel for those who want to experience this remote area of Patagonia without giving up the small luxuries and comforts of a 5 star hotel. I loved every moment I spent there and I will defiantly will go back!
