Hotel Principe di Villafranca, Palermo
Located in the heart of Palermo, this boutique hotel is knowned for its simplistic rooms where vintage furniture and contemporary art blends perfectly.
The 32 rooms are all differently decorated but all follow the same simplistic and functional line. In tones of white, the rooms are decorated with vintage furniture and art pieces from many Sicilian artists as Simona Cavaglieri. The rooms are spacious, well-lit with natural light, have super comfortable King Size beds and all bathrooms are made in withe luxury marble.
Breakfast is very good with fresh homemade products. The hotel also features a very comfortable lounge, surrounded by pieces of art, meeting rooms and a library where you can find a variety of newspapers and books.
The hotel aims to help in the dissemination of contemporary art, so part of its decoration are works from Sicilian artists, organizing throughout the year events in their facilities. Guests can also use the Fitness Room, take cooking classes and organize tours regarding their interests.
The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and available at any time (24/7). Quite knowledgeable of the city, all employees gave me little tips of where to go and what to do. The whole experience was wonderful.
