Essque Zalu Zanzibar

Essque Zalu Zanzibar

Essque Zalu Zanzibar is located in a natural cove on the north east coast of Zanzibar.

This boutique Zanzibar hotel combines contemporary luxury with a real sense of place. It features the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean to one side, lush green forest to the other, and just a hint of spice in the warm and fragrant tropical air. It takes approximately 1 hour drive from Dar Es Salem to the hotel.

The swimming pool of the hotel is amazing! Very big, with Jacuzzi, Bar and a lot of sun-beds.

Breakfast and dinners are served in the Market Kitchen restaurant. Local organic produce is at the root of all dishes served up at the Market Kitchen – a rustic restaurant serving up local, yet cosmopolitan fare. Simple gastronomic spread including crisp salads, cured meats, fresh seafood, bread straight from the oven, as well as mouth-watering cheeses and desserts.

As well as functioning as a trendy al fresco restaurant, The Jetty at Essque Zalu Zanzibar also passes as a bar, allowing you to kick back with a refreshing cocktail, or the beverage of your choice, and enjoy the magnificent shoreline of the Indian Ocean. This was my favorite spot of the hotel, It is perfect to see the sunset while enjoying a drink.

The beach, like all the beaches in Zanzibar has the low tide problem. However the salted water swimming pool is so amazing that you won´t feel the need to for a swim at the beach.
