Four Seasons Seychelles

Four Seasons Seychelles

When we look for a hotel for our holidays we try to see as many photos as possible, just to make sure it is what it looks like… in most cases unfortunately we ended up being disappointed when we arrived, but sometimes the opposite happens. Have you ever come to an hotel and it’s even more beautiful than you imagined?
It happened to me at the Four Seasons Seychelles, no matter how talented the photographer is, sometimes is impossible to capture the beauty of a place.

I arrived at the airport and a Four Seasons driver was waiting for me to drives us to the hotel, it’s a 30 minute trip to the other side of the island. I arrived at the hotel lounge to do the check in and from that moment on I couldn’t take anymore my eyes from that beach. The Resort was built on a huge hill of abounding vegetation and granite. The location is phenomenal, the Petit Anse Bay is one of the most beautiful sights I have been and you can notice in the photos why.

I was escorted to my villa in a golf car, there are more than 94 villas and private residences … mine was the Serenity Villa … upon entering it we almost have the feeling that it is a tree house given the vegetation that surrounds the villa… the unobscured view of the bay is a luxury for the eyes and soul, an overwhelming tranquility.

Designed and thought for days of romance, this private hideaway is one of the best rooms I’ve ever been. Huge… is more than 162m2, an extremely well decorated and comfortable room with a sitting area with TV and mini bar… A king size bed with sea view, a private pool, an indoor and outdoor shower, a lounge area outdoor with sun loungers, and the best I left for the end … the bathroom, wow!

The whole bathroom is marble and delicately thought to be unforgettable, the tub overlooking the outside is breathtaking and for few moments I thought… I’m might sleep here, eheh. The resort has even a Bath Butler available to prepare your baths so you can relaxe at the end of the day in the privacy of your room

I dressed up my swimming trunks and I ran to the beach to see if that it was real. What an incredible beach, what a sea… After a swim I went to the restaurant Kannel where surprisingly there was Arroz de Marisco (Seafood rice) in the Menu and Portuguese music playing, the Chef of the restaurant was in fact Portuguese, what a coincidence. In this restaurant it is possible to eat dishes of several cuisines, Portuguese, Indian and Creole. Attached to the restaurant is the Kannel bar that extends through the garden next to the huge pool and that goes along to the beach, here besides great cocktails you can enjoy snacks and quick salads.

Another wonderful restaurant is the KOI, the hotel’s Japanese restaurant, quite intimate where we can delight ourselves with dishes of Sushi, Tempura, etc … Next, we have the restaurant ZEZ, where you can have a romantic dinner at night and the delicious and super complete breakfast, there is no better way to start a day than drinking a coconut water with this view while you wait yours delicious eggs Benedict and pancakes.

I also recommend you to visit the SPA, the top of the hill offers superb views of the resort, if possible go there to watch the sunset, bring your love, the champagne they might offer you :-). Yoga classes are also held here every morning so you can start the day in a relaxing and peaceful way

For those who like more adrenaline you can experience the water sports that the resort has available such as snorkeling, diving, paddle-board, kayaking, surfing … you can even go jogging, play volleyball and badminton or just swim in the huge swimming pool or beach.

Four Seasons Seychelles is one of the most beautiful hotels I ever stayed in… During my stay I thought many times how happy I would be living in this villa the whole year ahah!
There’s no way… I’ll have to go back there one day!
